Every failure gave Draco an excuse to return, dragging other Slytherins into the game. What began as supervision snowballs into sabotage, daily trials and a cage that shrinks tighter with every failed trial. By the end of the week Ron is left moaning, trembling and humiliated, on display for all of Hogwarts to see. He could have been free on day one, instead he’s reduced to a sobbing trembling toy, failing again and again while the whole of Hogwarts watches.
