Summary
In the weeks following Maverick’s defeat, Barnaby struggles to make sense of his now questionable memories. Meanwhile he tries not to depend too much on his partner who will soon be moving away, even as he’s becoming painfully aware of what Kotetsu really means to him.

Summary
Recently, however, he's discovered the joy of waking up rested, with the sunlight falling on his face and the texture of unfamiliar - but quickly growing acquainted - sheets underneath him. Occasionally, there is another body beside him, but usually the smell of coffee or breakfast or the soft sounds of a radio or humming are his bedfellows.
Today, a warm hand is sliding up his back, lips pressing between his shoulder blades before leaving a trail of soft, chaste kisses up to Barnaby’s neck, taking advantage of the fact Barnaby wears his hair up to sleep to wake him slowly.
-----
Out of all of the mornings that Barnaby has lived, he thinks this might be his favorite one.

Summary
The petty vandalism of trampling flowers is hardly the sort of stakes that Barnaby is used to - even back when they were in the second league, it wasn't the sort of crime they'd bother with.
And yet, it's the most satisfied Barnaby has felt in months.
-----
If it was just up to him, he has little doubt that he and Kotetsu would be in each other's lives for the rest of their own, but Kotetsu has a bad habit of leaving Barnaby when the convenience of their working relationship breaks down.

Summary
“Crap - sorry.” He snatches at the fast food wrappers and empty take-out cups littering the interior. “I uh, didn’t think about how you’d actually have to…” he trails off, distracted by his hasty yet ineffective attempts at clearing the clutter. Finally satisfied, Tiger chucks a pair of sky-blue sandals (the kind you’d see on a preteen girl) somewhere behind the passenger seat and invites me in. A bottle of pink nail polish rolls out from some dark corner and taps against my heel.
“Alright,” he breathes, plopping down behind the wheel. “Ready to roll.”

A journalist’s jam-packed day with Wild Tiger leads to an unexpected glimpse beyond the hero’s chaotic exterior.
