“So—where’d you guys fuck?”
Robert’s head spun. “We didn’t—”
“Wouldn’t you like to know?” Flambae’s words tumbled over his. Robert glared at him as he waggled his eyebrows.
Visi’s grin only widened. “And suddenly your ‘cigarette’ burns make so much sense.”
Flambae blinked briefly, before a slow smile pulled at his lips. “Cigarettes, eh?”
To Robert’s horror, Flambae took a couple steps forward into his space, so much so that he could feel the familiar heat that radiated off the other man’s body. Although his expression remained steeled, Robert’s heart pounded in his chest in an odd anticipation.
“Y’know Robert…” Flambae crossed his arms, leaning in. Robert could see that fake tooth again, glimmering ever so slightly against the off-white color of the rest of his grin. He wasn’t looking at his lips. “You should really be more careful around hot shit, hm?”
Flambae’s gaze flickered down and it felt like a swarm of birds suddenly decided to wake up in his gut.
“…we need to talk.”

Summary
One choice can change the strings of fate permanently. Resulting in a world where Robert is a villain known as 'Jaegar' and Flambae is an ex-hero known as 'the Phoenix'. Fate brought them together for a glorious battle that was ended by Jaegar self-destructing his out mech. Ajmal lost his powers due to the explosion, and Jaegar was assumed dead. Now trying to find a sernse of purpose and reactivate his powers, Ajmal is offered a job to become a dispatcher. What he didn't know was that his old nemesis Jaegar, would be there as well.
