“Here!” The tanuki runs ahead of him, weaving through the rows of tables and chairs. It’s a lovely room, with rows of bookcases lining the walls, each of them rich with an abundance of knowledge, yet Donnie is yet to see the so-called victim anywhere.
The yokai stops short, looking perplexed as he glances hard at the ground as if he were simply awaiting something to somehow sprout from underneath it.
“Um. There was supposed to be a, uh, a body here…” the yokai explains sheepishly. He looks towards Donnie rather apologetically. “Hm. This… this wasn’t supposed to happen.”
Donnie frowns, making the tanuki cower just slightly. “And I suppose that whole knocking me on my ass earlier wasn’t exactly in the itinerary either?”
The tanuki purses his lips together, little button nose screwing up slightly. “No, mister Donatello. It, er, wasn’t.”
“Something feels weird,” Donnie says. “I don’t like it.”

Summary
Sometimes, in the middle of conversation, Donatello will refer to deprogramming, which to Cassandra’s understanding of coding, is the opposite of what one would want to do with a coding project. Perhaps it’s a synonym of sorts to decryption, but never will come a time where Cassandra intentionally initiates an infodump from the Hamato child who stores more information than sense.
The word comes apropos, as well, so it must be some sort of metaphor. The instances on Cassandra’s mind occur when Donatello is caught in a rare moment not fiddling with a piece of technology, which goes directly against the connotations of programming.
