Mira asks, “So, what, we just pretend ‘polytrix’ isn’t top one on the global trending list right now?”
“It’s—” Rumi physically freezes. It looks like it takes her a moment to compute what Mira had said, then she finishes stiffly, “It’s what?”
Mira’s never been one to lie; and, lo and behold, hashtag polytrix was indeed pressed up as number one on the social media app they’re staring at. Zoey glances down at the related hashtags trending with it: #ITSREAL #POLYTRIXONTOP #RUMIONBOTTOM #HUNTR/XGIRLS #TOTHEGAYWORLD
Or, Mira, Rumi, and Zoey get caught in the middle of their fans' shipping war—but maybe one ship in particular has more substance than the others.

Summary
Esher knew from the start that she would live out the rest of her days on the road, constantly looking over her shoulder. That was the life she had chosen, and she would choose it again in a heartbeat over the nightmare she would have lived otherwise.
But she didn't know that a black carriage would come in the night during her travels, or that it would whisk her away to another world far from her own. She didn't know that she would learn of magic deeper and darker than any forest path she wandered.
She didn't know that one day she might like to stop running.Or
A DnD 5e warlock gets pulled into Twisted Wonderland and has to come to terms with modern technology, high school education, and a magic system that seems to be entirely monopolized by sorcerers. There is no attaining magic through force of will, faith, or pact: so according to the Dark Mirror, Esher has none. But that’s Ok, she’s used to keeping it on the down-low. It’s not like warlocks are warmly welcomed back home. Her Patron finds it amusing either way.
