Summary
When bandits kidnap Merlin, Arthur and the knights, a truth serum brings light to more than one of the sorcerer's secrets. Back in Camelot, Arthur's reaction to either of them is overshadowed by two nobles arriving. As always, the guests pose a threat, and Merlin and Arthur have to figure out their feelings towards each other as well as their self-sacrificing tendencies.

Summary
Merlin suffers a small accident that turns him into a five-year-old kid. While Gaius works on an antidote, Arthur agrees to take care of Merlin, unaware that he will embark on a crazy week in which, thanks to this strange and at the same time familiar child, he will get to know his servant better and begin to understand what he really feels for Merlin.
This is a tale full of Arthur being protective, of Merlin being Merlin, and of the two of them being the best duo in the history of television. It contains magically appearing chickens, overly sincere children, princes wanting to be swallowed up by the earth, veiled confessions, bedtime stories, entrenched secrets and agonizing doubts. Featuring Gwen being the kindest and most generous soul in Camelot and Lancelot and Gwaine being the great friends that they always are. The rest of the knights, Gaius, and a decrepit Uther complete the scene.
Warning: in this story everyone adores Merlin. After all, isn't this what the original show is about?

She’s setting the flowers in water, trying to recall if she remembered Merlin’s favourite biscuits the last time she went to the shops, when the doorbell chimes. She glances up, a greeting already on her lips, but the shop remains empty. The door shuts with a quiet click as she watches, but there’s no one there.
Frowning, she half-rises from her seat to peer over the high counter, and that’s when she sees him – a boy a little older than Merlin, maybe 7 or 8, his shoulders and jaw tight and dirt in his hair.
“Hello,” he says, quiet and stilted. “My name is Arthur. May I use your telephone?”

Merlin stiffens again, looking as though he’s braced for ridicule, and Arthur knows immediately that he can’t rescind the words. “Why would you want that?”
“Come on, Merlin. I can’t exactly have my servant being better at something than I am, now can I?”
Or,
Three months after lifting the ban on magic, Arthur catches Morgana and Merlin practicing a spell together. After initially struggling to come to terms with, he asks to be taught a spell as a gesture of acceptance. He is shocked to learn that magic is hard, and Merlin is actually quite good at it. Who would have guessed?

Traveling back home after a nightmarish visit to America, Prince Arthur isn’t upset to be flying economy sans bodyguard. All he wants to do is take a nice, quiet nap in a too small, too cramped economy seat. Then, he bowls over a stranger, soon-to-be seat partner, and they strike up an unlikely (sort of) friendship.
This idiot has absolutely no idea who he is. He also has the bluest eyes Arthur has ever seen.
And, well, it just escalates from there.

It’s not that he hadn’t imagined a bad scenario of Arthur finding out. He had. Of course, he had. But more so that Arthur would send him away, or sack him, or…well. He supposed he didn’t have any scope of imagining that Arthur could look so horrified, and be looking at Merlin, at the same time.

Arthur flinches as though he’s been slapped. He frowns, hands at his sides, standing there like a child.
He thinks of Uther in all his glory. Heavy armor, icy stare.
Uther who never would have agreed to this, Uther who would be ashamed of the man he’s become.Arthur needs this to be mutual. He needs Merlin to fight for this just as much as him because if he doesn’t, he’s not sure how long he can withstand it.
(Or, Arthur thought he’d made the right decision. For Merlin, for Camelot. But not everyone is pleased.

“What’s Merlin up to, Gaius?”
Gaius isn’t listening. His eyes are wide and horrified but suddenly focused on something behind him, something outside of the window.
Before the knights can turn around to catch it, the door flies open yet again. The force behind it so strong that it nearly falls off it’s hinges.
Familiar eyes meet his own.
Merlin’s eyes.
Merlin is back, coming right through the door.
But he isn’t walking. He’s falling through the door and landing on the hard floor before Gwaine can even register what’s happening.
“Merlin?” Sir Leon rushes to his side, his voice quiet.
Merlin is right in front of him. Blood soaked and filthy. Covered scrapes and bruises. Crying out for no one in particular.
And it’s the most battered Gwaine has seen him.
(Or, Merlin disappears without explanation, leaving Gwaine worried to death.
Luckily, the sorcerer returns.
Beaten and battered.)

Summary
Merlin goes to see Gaius when Agravaine gives him the dagger to be gifted to Arthur instead of to the armory. He wants reassurance that he matters and that he should stay and not abandon his destiny.
He wasn't expecting to end up kidnapped along with Gaius by the Catha hired by Morgana and Agravaine.
And he certainly wasn't expecting to be taken to the Catha home to be trained by them to become an ambassador for magic to Camelot when it was all over.
Arthur can't let go of the argument he and Merlin had when Agravaine had accused Gaius of keeping secrets. He gathers Gwaine and Leon to keep him in check when he goes to talk to Merlin, only to find their rooms a mess and the pair missing.
After some reflection, he starts to see what Merlin had meant about Agravaine and has him arrested.
He talks with his knights to figure out what he should do next.

Summary
The first time Leon came to him, Merlin's body was still young. He had not yet begun to ache in the cold, nor did his hands tremble or neck pinch. His chest would not bear the mark of Nimueh's fire for months to come, caved in and oddly healed. His work with Gaius had only just begun, but he found it came easily to him.
Perhaps that was why Camelot’s knight commander had sought him out, had cornered him just outside the physician’s chambers and demanded aid.

Summary
It was like an unwritten rule of Camelot's: every time the King chooses to go hunting with his men, at least one vengeful sorcerer has to cut their trip short. Sometimes, the Fates went crazy and threw in two. Today was one of those crazy days as, like always, their journey home was obstructed by two murderous bandits.
Like always, the bandits had everyone at their mercy, much to Leon’s shame. Like always, their arms bound and tied to tree trunks whilst the King was forced into a kneeling position on the floor.
Leon was very ashamed.
He looked up at the sky, hoping for a stroke of luck. That was another unwritten rule of Camelot’s — every time said murderous sorcerers attacked Arthur and his company, it seemed their environment would do its best to help them out. Yes, it was embarrassing that they, the strongest knights in the five realms, were relying on trees and birds to help but Leon took his wins where he got them.
Unfortunately, today seemed to be the exception to the second unwritten rule of Camelot.
Or Merlin gets a long awaited therapy session... with a rogue bandit. Leon had stopped asking questions a long time ago.
