Nightwing froze. Peter forced himself up, walking around the vigilante.
“Peter– wait–” Nightwing snapped out of his shock. He turned to Peter and almost reached for his injured arm– but the boy immediately recoiled. Dick realised his mistake, and his hand simply hovered.
“Don’t fucking touch me.” Peter spat with pure venom. “You’ve done enough.”

¨I thought one day I´d wake up, and life would make sense. That…,¨ Jason trails off, eyes far away, longing, ¨I would get an explanation of some sort. But, that´s childish; entitled. I don´t deserve one.¨
¨It´s not childish,¨ Eugene placates.
Jason huffs, smoke escaping his nostrils. ¨That´s not what I meant.¨
¨What did you mean?¨ Eugene asks. Meanwhile, Jason stubs out the cigarette. Peering up, he smiles a genuine smile, one of relief.
