I've seen so many stories completely villainizing Celine, which I'm totally interested in exploring don't get me wrong, but I also disagree that that's how she is in canon. She's a lot more complex than that, I think. That being said, this ALSO isn't based on canon. This is Celine doing a better job at being the parent Rumi needed.
Also note that the first chapter is a prologue and not really in the style that the rest of the fic will be written in, it's just like that for atmosphere!

Barriss's lips curved into the understated grin that Ahsoka adored. “You do realize all of those scenarios have actually happened to us before. I’m starting to get concerned.” She paused and then lifted her eyes to Ahsoka's. “Of course, there are worse ways to go than with you.”
