Summary
Bǎi Hé had been twelve years old when her life had been irrevocably changed.
Twelve years old when cold and death had forced its way inside her body and used her as a living puppet to serve its own twisted ambitions.
She had been painfully aware of everything her body had been forced to do - from her distasteful expressions to her rigid posture to her cruel tongue - but she hadn't been able to feel any of it.
She couldn't feel her hands clasped together but she knew that they were, she couldn't feel her legs move but she knew they were walking. The best description she had for it was that it felt like she was a ghost trapped a millimetre under her own skin - unable to feel her body but forced to contort to whatever shape it took.
Bǎi Hé's story didn't end with the Lady Bone Demon.

Chapter 5 Excerpt:
It was with some consternation that Niú considered his father's head, still proudly mounted in his trophy room over a millennium after he'd torn it from his neck.
The title of Demon Bull King was one earned by overthrowing, and usually killing, the previous titleholder, and with little exception it was normally a son forcibly taking it from his father. There were rare times a daughter or a grandchild had taken up the mantle instead but generally it was a bloody race between sons.
Niú had but one child, the Samadhi Fire leaving his beloved unable to provide him with any more, and he could not understand why his only son had not yet tried to claim his birth right. He had been nearly half his age when he had rightly taken what was his!
So, with a sixth sense for when the shadows were listening, he asked, "Why has my head not joined my father's on this wall?"

Summary
MK is doing great after the Pillar Incident.
His family is safe, the world isn't actively tearing apart at the seams, there are no new villains from Monkey King's past trying to tear apart the peace they've finally received. It's great! Clearly everything isn't going to be normal, but MK can live with that.
Sure, he's getting nightmares, but that's fine! His human form is feeling more and more like a costume, and he can tell his friends are worried, but it's fine. MK is fine. Nothing he hasn't dealt with before. It's what he deserves after all.
He is the Harbinger of Chaos.

Summary
Macaque had come back to life irrevocably changed in many ways and his apparent impotency had probably been the least of his worries considering everything else that had happened. But it had certainly been a cause for some stress as they had tentatively taken steps to deepen the physical intimacy between them.
The only real request Macaque had made to him with regards to sex was that he not touch him below the belt, reluctantly admitting that the thought of him not reacting to it stressed him out.
You would think he might have had more hang ups about sex in general as a result of his impotency but it had really felt as if Wukong had actually been the one with the lion's share of issues they'd had to work through.
Boundaries can change over time and Wukong is discovering a lot more about himself, and Macaque, as a result.

Summary
It was two days later when Macaque returned and Wukong barely glanced at him before focusing his attention on the TV in front of him. They both sat on opposite ends of the couch pretending to watch the show without acknowledging the other was there.
Wukong had more or less decided that in the grand scheme of things the whole incident really hadn't been a big deal but he'd be damned if he was going to be the one that tried to make amends. He didn't expect they'd actually address what had happened but this whole thing had been on Macaque.
Macaque is physically not the same as he was, it would be helpful if he'd actually communicate this to Wukong.

Summary
There was little use asking what specific memory was bothering Macaque. One, it was obvious, and two, it didn’t matter. Every thread that tied them together always looped back to encompass it all, turning the happiest memories bitter and cursing the worst of them to remain painful all the years later.
It was their entire existence together- an existence which only got longer, with more knots in the timeline.
Macaque came in some time later, perched more than sitting on the edge of the bed, as though he wasn’t sure he was staying. Wukong propped himself up, the two sitting barely a foot apart. Every breath or gentle rustle of sheets seemed too loud, even to Wukong’s ears.
He laid his palm on Macaque’s shoulder, watching as Macaque twitched but ultimately relaxed under his touch. They were unused to this by now, but nothing was unfamiliar, it was all too familiar and distant at once.
“What’re we doing?” asked Macaque, addressing the floor rather than Wukong.
“I don’t know,” admitted Wukong.

"I cant-'' he's stuttering "I didn't do anything", macaques gripin wukongs shoulders stay firm. Wukong repeatedly is reaching out and touching macaques arm, he's shaking and he's panicked.

“Ah, bummer.” Wukong’s lips quirked into a little grin before he turned back towards the stove. “How do you like your eggs, by the way?”

Summary
The next few pages are of similar manner. Macaque is drawn with big eyes and bigger muscles as MK or his friends beg him for friendship or compliment him so much it’s borderline overboard.
It was cute… but also sad in a way.A somber smile comes to occupy Wukong’s lips. ‘Seems like he was hesitant to share these because they’re mostly filled with stuff we wouldn’t say.’ He thinks to himself, running a paw along the page of Pigsy begging Macaque to show him how to train his body.
The king turns to the next page.
His golden eyes widen; it’s the first drawing of Wukong himself. It’s only a headshot of him, next to another drawing of Macaque’s in the same manner. The two drawn monkeys are looking at each other, smiles happy as a speech bubble goes from Wukong’s mouth.
‘I do love you.’ It reads.

Post Macaque and Wukong's second encounter in Kaiju form, the events of season 4 occur before they could get a chance to talk about what happened. In the time before the big fight with the Azure, Macaque comforts Wukong from what he'd seen while he was trapped in the scroll and the two eventually get to enjoy their beach day together.
