Alone and miserable, the fact that other firefighters at the station decide that they can have free range on him since he's got no one in his corner, Buck begins to fall into deep despair. Inevitably, one day the the bullies take it that one step too far and end up causing a horrific incident that finally has the 118 realizing just how badly they've wronged their Buck, especially Eddie and Bobby. Will they be able to make amends for their collective huge mistake? Will Buck even let them?

"Lucas, seriously, calm down. It's just a broken condom. I can get tested for... you know, the standard stuff. It's not the end of the world. Just take a deep breath."
Lucas let out a sound that was half sob, half hysterical laugh. He backed up until his spine hit the bedroom wall, sliding down slightly as if his legs could no longer support his weight. He looked at Buck like he was looking at a dead man.
"Evan," Lucas said, his voice dropping to a devastated, trembling whisper. "I should have told you. I swear to god, I should have told you before we even left the bar, but I didn't think... I've never had a condom break on me. Never. I am so careful. I am so, so careful."
"Told me what?" Buck asked. His voice didn't sound like his own.
Lucas closed his eyes, a tear escaping and tracking down his pale cheek. He swallowed hard, and then he looked Buck dead in the eye.
"I'm HIV positive."
