Shikamaru had seen the promotion coming. He didn't want it but he couldn't say no. He didn't know the guy promoted with him, Uzumaki Naruto. He had never seen him in the village, to be exact. That was weird. They were the same age, they should have been classmates at the Academy. Unless... his teammates weren't his teammates, more like bodyguards. But why? Being the Hokage's son hardly was reason enough (Asuma had never had bodyguards). Could there be something else? Not that Shikamaru cared. He didn't. Nope. He had other problems to deal with. He didn't need that guy in his life. He really didn't. Until he did.

Summary
Through a completely unrealistic series of events, Naruto—the Hokage of Konoha—lands in the body of his younger counterpart, twenty-two years into the past.
What follows is Naruto making the most of his second life which includes turning revenge-thirsty Sasuke into a normal angsty teenager, helping Sakura get over her puppy crush, annoying Kakashi and somehow getting himself entangled in a romance with Shikamaru (which for the record, doesn’t even feel like one).
Orochimaru and the Akatsuki linger in the background, but Naruto’s not letting them ruin his life by a stupid war to feed the ego of a dead man. Again, that is.

Summary
It's been nine years since the Battle of Hogwarts and the wizarding world has been wiped of almost all criminals, thanks to the incredibly hard-working Auror, Harry Potter. With one last remaining Death Eater to catch, they are on the cusp of peace at last.
That is, until Hermione brings reports to Harry concerning a murderous snake whom she believes has something to do with the deceased Dark Lord. She thinks it could be the seventh part of Voldemort's soul, created because he did not know about the (now destroyed) Horcrux that was in Harry. Seven Horcruxes, not seven parts.
Harry finds the snake and feels compelled to assuage some of his survivor's guilt by making the man suffer. He recreates the resurrection ritual, but this time, with a crucial alteration to the ingredients: the flesh of a servant. Without it, the Dark Lord Voldemort has no magic. Harry secretly takes the man prisoner in his home, wanting to hurt him, to force him to divulge where his last Horcrux is, but things begin to rapidly fall out of his control.

He was changing. Naruto's personality had been in a downward spiral since his mission to the Land of Waves. It was subtle at first, but now Minato doesn't even recognize his son after seven years. Hell, he barely even sees his son. After he transferred to the ANBU, Naruto rarely ever came home, and even when he did, he was cold, distant, and angry. His mission reports had become increasingly concerning. Naruto's new apathetic attitude toward his team, friends, sensei, and even his father worried the Hokage more than anything.An emotionless Shinobi was never a good thing, and it was even worse for a Jinchuuriki.
Itachi Uchiha was the only thing that seemed to help for a while, but it was false hope.
When Minato learns that Naruto was the sole perpetrator of an attempted fratricide incident during a crucial mission in Iwa, he is forced to confront the issue. But at this point, Minato is certain that his son might be too far gone to be saved.
