Does anyone know Lance is in love with Keith?
Of course not. And Lance would very much like to keep it that way, thank you! Keith already doesn't want anything to do with him ever since coming back from that space whale; the last thing Lance needs on top of his crumbling self-worth and shaky standing in the team is a rejection that shatters his heart in pieces, too.
But now, Lance got himself in a bit of a pickle. Which is fine, because Lance has a plan to get out of it! A wonderful, brilliant, masterful, completely fool-proof plan. His team won't look at him like he's more incompetent than they already do, he won't have to spend the rest of his life trapped on some alien planet, and Keith will never find out just how head over heels he is for him. It's a win-win-win situation.
Of course, with Keith, things are never quite so simple, and Lance's plan soon causes a domino effect that changes the entire course of his life.

Keith likes to sing old love songs to Kosmo when he thinks they're alone. The team accidentally overhears him through the security cameras. Its too adorable and they don't want him to stop, so they don't say anything. One day Keith starts ranting to Kosmo that he wishes a cute guy would sing him a love song.
Lance knows what he must do.

“Aw,” the druid coos, “So much fire. So much rage in that trembling heart of yours. It’d be a shame if I simply quashed it, wouldn’t it?”
Keith stares straight at the druid. He bores his eyes into the shine of its face and looks his reflection dead in the eye. “Fuck—you.”
The druid tips its head all the way back till its face is far out of sight and it laughs. It shrills and twitches and ticks and shakes. “So much fire!” It shrieks. “So much fire and it’s—”
The druid reaches forward and wraps its long fingers around Keith’s face. They’re like icicles searing his skin with blinding cold. It might’ve drawn blood. He doesn’t know.
“—all gone.” The druid faces him again. “All gone.”
Keith shivers under the touch. He doesn’t understand. “What?”-
A Blade mission goes astray when Keith has an unfortunate run-in with a druid. He falls sick soon after, and is handed into Voltron’s care until he recovers. While he’s there, he contemplates his place in the universe, the depth of his illness and its mysterious connection to Lance, and why he’s not getting better.

Summary
Space is vast and mostly empty, so much so that getting lost is easy. The universe keeps expanding and Lance gets further away from home with each passing second. The thing keeping him in orbit is the man with a mullet at the centre of his own universe.
Or: a quiet night filled with want, desire, and restraint.
