Summary
Rue wants one thing— to finally catch the attention of the one girl who won’t give her the time of day, Nia.
Maddy wants one thing— to make her on-again-off-again boyfriend, Sean, regret ever playing games with her.
A conversation, a dance at a party, and they realize the way they can both get what they want.
Pretend they are dating.
It’s a simple enough plan. A plan so simple even an unexpected hookup won’t get in the way … right?
or: Rue and Maddy try to fake date, but a hookup on the first night of the plan makes it hard for them to focus on the task at hand.

Summary
Rue Bennett doesn’t fail. She’s a ghost, an elite mercenary who stopped counting bodies years ago and lives by one rule: finish the job, feel nothing, disappear. When a shadow organization hands her a contract on Dr. Maddy Perez — a brilliant scientist who allegedly “knows something she shouldn’t” — Rue expects the easiest kill of her career.
Instead she gets a woman who fights back harder than anyone has in a decade, who makes her hesitate for the first time in her professional life. What starts as hunter and prey slowly becomes something else — two people who’ve spent years surviving alone, learning they might not have to anymore.
But the organization doesn’t accept failure, and the truth about why Maddy is a target runs deeper than either of them knows. Rue has to decide whether the identity she’s built her whole life around is worth more than the first person who’s ever made her want to walk away from it.
Dark, possessive, and unapologetically intense — Red Mercury is a romantic suspense novel about two broken people who see each other completely.

Summary
Rue Bennett doesn’t lose. Not in the courtroom, not in bed, not anywhere that matters. She’s a defence attorney with a killer win record, a taste for control, and exactly one weakness: a strip club named Aphrodite, and the one dancer there who refuses to fall for her money or her mouth.
Maddy Perez is surviving, not living — stripping to stay hidden, stay solvent, and stay one step ahead of the man she escaped. She’s got no patience for entitled clients who think a fat tip buys them a pass on the rules. Except Rue keeps testing them anyway, and Maddy keeps taking her money.
What starts as pure friction — cash, attitude, and a chemistry neither of them wants — turns into something neither can walk away from, as Rue’s newest case creeps dangerously close to the world Maddy’s spent years trying to escape.
Enemies-to-lovers. Slow burn wrapped around white-hot heat. The only thing more dangerous than wanting each other is letting themselves need each other.

Summary
“Since when are you and Maddy that close?” She raises her eyebrow in complete disbelief.
“Who’s Maddy?” Rue is clearly equally confused.
“The girl you were bumping and grinding with on stage less than thirty seconds ago….ring any bells?”
“Oh, I don’t know her at all. She’s hot, so I invited her up.” Rue shrugs nonchalantly, but the way Lexi is reacting raises some alarms. “Wait, do you know her?”
“Everyone but you does, Rue. She's probably the one of the most successful actresses in the last five years.” Lexi is rubbing her temples now, it’s not an uncommon sight when she’s conversing with her closest friend.
“Oh.” Is all Rue can muster up, and then— “Does that mean you have her number?” Her lopsided grin punctuates the sentence.
Lexi looks back up at Rue in disbelief. “Kill me now.”
