The Doctor is still talking to Yaz when The Master leaves, both of them whispering in the room with the mirror (“are you saying we’re now on the Solitract plane?”). He turns away, stamping down the jolt of emotion he’d felt hearing her mention Gallifrey, even so indirectly.
And finds her standing on the steps, eyes wild.
How would the Solitract have tricked The Master if he'd been in its plane?

“I was collecting some notes,” There’s an edge of defensiveness to Hermann’s tone that makes Newt want to poke it and see if he bleeds. In the generous spirit of the season, he reigns it in.
“Hot math date for the New Year?” Well, reigns it in a bit, anyway.
“Shut up,” There’s no real heat to the admonishment.~~~~~~~~

“I’m gonna miss this,” Buck adds, his tone sincere. Oh. Okay, they’re doing that now, huh. Eddie stops at the traffic light ahead and glances over at him. Buck’s expression is soft, caught up in something Eddie would almost call nostalgia.
“Same,” he admits.“I mean technically, I think you’re my longest lasting relationship.”
Buck’s expression shutters,
“You don’t mean that.” Buck says, voice tight.Or: When the 118 is closed for budget purposes, Buck and Eddie look for other options and worry over staying together.
