They’ve been spending more time like this lately. Between fist fights and energy fields and bursts of power, they’ve sat in quiet; either patching wounds with gauze or waiting for their hearts to settle. Whether it be hours past the sun setting or in the middle of a scorching day, Shou has done as he said he would.
Although, Ritsu felt… on edge.
He was humming. Shou was humming some tune that sounded familiar but Ritsu couldn’t place. He bit into his cheek, wanting to say something but unable to figure out what to say; how to say the words in his own head in a way that will get through the busy buzz of Shou’s brain.
“We should go get some lunch,” Shou says the same time Ritsu spits it out; “We haven’t been training like you said we would.”

Reigen and Serizawa were in the Spirits and Such office on a particularly slow day. Well really, it was a whole onslaught of slow days, but that’s beside the point. It was the dead of summer, so many potential clients were either too hot or busy to bother coming in to the office. As such, Reigen took to browsing the internet instead of doing his actual job, with the weak excuse of 'It’s not like there’s much to do anyway'.
May as well use some of these urban legends as publicity for Spirits and Such, right?

Mob doesn’t hesitate. “We had maths homework to hand in,” he says. “But now we don’t have to. We don’t even have to go to the lesson.”

Summary
This is not what Shigeo and his younger brother Ritsu thought moving day would entail. Now trapped in a place that belongs neither to the living nor the dead, they’ll have to free their parents from the notorious witch Suzuki with the help of their new friends.
Shou is delighted to have new friends to join him in rebelling against his father while Teru is excited to simply have friends. Dimple needs a new job, Serizawa just doesn’t want to hurt anyone anymore, and Tome wants to learn more about the most alien creatures of them all: humans.
Reigen isn’t quite sure how he acquired “in loco parentis” for the human boys, but quickly finds himself caring for them and all the other wayward souls who soon follow. Together, he hopes they can help the Kageyamas with their goal, and save the day.

Meanwhile, there’s no shortage of criminals trying to pick up where Claw left off. Between them and a government division set on erasing every esper they find undesirable, has anything even improved?
Perhaps change is more slow and grueling than Shou ever imagined, but everything he did and everything he endured cannot have been for nothing.
