Summary
A run-of-the-mill, straight-forward away mission leads to the disappearance of the ship's Chief Science Officer. After a year's disappearance, the crew receives a distress call from a planet where terra-forming has long been forbidden. Yet, the message is encoded in Vulcan binary and they feel hopeful for the first time in almost a year. What they find on the planet's surface will test the strength of friendship and perseverance in the face of darkness.

Summary
On what should have been a routine away mission to investigate an alien structure, Una is compelled my an unknown force on the planet to revert to her true form. Fearing discovery, she is forced to hide from her crewmates while she recovers and figures out how to transform back.
Meanwhile, the rest of the away team and the crew aboard the Enterprise must deal not only with Una’s mysterious disappearance, but with Starfleet’s automated Species 154 protocol which sees the planet quarantined and them locked out of their own systems.

Summary

Hundreds of years ago a divide formed within Illyrian society between those who continued to follow their tradition of worshipping the Ilya, and those who rejected it. Like her parents and grandparents before her, Una doesn’t believe the Ilya is a god or anything more than a tyrannical parasite, but when the Ilya splits from its most recent host and the search begins for a new one, she discovers it doesn’t matter what she believes.
