    Summary

“What about you?” Jiang Cheng asked, when he saw Wei Wuxian removing his inner robe. Wei Wuxian shook his head, no he hadn’t come, but that was fine.
“Oh, can I?” Jiang Li perked up.
Wei Wuxian raised an eyebrow. Jiang Cheng laughed.
“Nothing quite like some play time to lift the spirits, huh?” he teased their youngest Shidi. Jiang Li merely shrugged. He wasn’t about to deny something that was clearly true.

After a routine patrol ends with a scare, Wei Wuxian and the Jiang sect's sixth Shidi need some time in the communal nest to calm down. And what better way to calm down after a fright, than to engage in some platonic sex?

    Summary

Jin Ling likes his clothing so covered in straps and chains and flowing scarves that he’s 90% dangly bits by volume. And then there’s his hair.

It’s really not Jingyi’s fault that he wants to tie him to things.

It’s definitely not Jingyi’s fault that Jin Ling gets so prettily flustered when he’s tied to things.

It might be Sizhui’s fault that it went this far.

    Summary

The melody gets a little clearer when he breaks out of the trees, and Jingyi changes course with certainty, barreling down the back hill and through the Cloud Recesses, dodging scandalized disciples left and right. He throws open the doors to the Receiving Hall without announcement and bows nearly double, eyes on the floor instead of on the shocked faces of the Mei delegation and the impenetrable gaze of the Chief Cultivator.

"Forgive this disciple," Jingyi shouts, because he's going to get punished for rule breaking regardless. "From the back hill, Hanguang-jun, there is a song in the wind!"

    Lan Jingyi comes of age.

    Summary

“You left!” Jiang Cheng snaps furiously, hand curling into a fist, hauling Wei Ying front and center with a grip in his collar, “You left like I was nothing, like I meant nothing to you! You promised! You! You promised you’d stay. And you left me.”

“I couldn’t leave them to die,” Wei Ying tells him quietly, hand itching to brush aside the lone bang that still curves in front of Jiang Cheng’s left eye.

“But you left me to die,” Jiang Cheng tells him despairingly and Wei Ying is already shaking his head, denial on his tongue, “You left me to go die.”

Nineteen years since he died, three years since the Guanyin temple, and way too long since Jiang Cheng reached for him, Wei Ying figures out where they stand. Apparently, it's only on one foot and two ancestral tablets.

    Summary

Wei Wuxian was a very fine instrument indeed.

In need of tuning and repairs, perhaps, Lan Xichen thought, his qi brushing against silent meridians and trickling resentment, but a fine instrument nonetheless. One he was happy to learn. One he was happy to tend to.
