Summary
After the apparent fall of HYDRA, a forgotten fragment of its dark machinery awakens deep within the frozen mountains of Romania. When Bucky Barnes intercepts a coded signal through old communication channels, the Avengers respond with a reconnaissance mission. What they find is not a weapon... but a woman.
Locked inside a cryogenic capsule, covered in frost and scars, lies a figure of legend: a snow queen torn from her time and turned into an experiment. Tortured. Conditioned. Forgotten. Her name, unknown to the modern world. Her power, intact. Her soul, shattered.
As the team attempts to rescue her, what seemed like a liberation mission reveals itself as the first move in a much larger plan.
