    "I thought you loved being a hero?" Damian hummed, brushing Jon's hair back to see his full face.
     
    He hummed and leaned up to kiss between Damian's eyebrows.
     
    "I do, but still. People like us rarely get this kind of thing. I'm glad I get it with you."

    Probably because he did, if he’d been talking to the rest of the team, anyone at the Garrison, or any of Lance’s siblings. Lance hadn’t left home since he’d been released from the mandatory medical evaluation at the Garrison after the last solo mission that nearly killed him. It’d been nearly a year, and his feet hadn’t left the family farm’s soil since, which was exactly how Lance wanted it.
