Summary
"The Committee worked incredibly hard to provide him with comfort, enrichment and communication, with the slight caveat that they were. Well. Bad at it."
Based on the works of tumblr user @justcakethanks. I adore these little train wrecks and felt they deserved some love.

Summary
Ryland’s worried about a new kid in his class-- in general, he worries about every new kid fitting in, but he's worried because of how the kid's demeanor dims at pickup time. Then, tune changes when he meets this “Simon Fischer”— the kid’s other guardian. It’s a miracle he doesn’t fumble the conversation with the hot dad.
-
Basically, Ryland teaches Simon's son, there's an established setting, then the author wonders "how can I squish these guys together like barbies?"
(Other titles include "Blod in my hail mary?", "Spill on Aisle 3, Bloody Mary mix on Aisle 3" and "One Virgin Bloody Mary, Please, Extra Salt" -- you can see why I didn't use them) -

Summary
Jackson Healy is not a family man, nor is he a relationship man. He learned that one the hard way after the divorce.
So, can someone tell him why he’s standing at the cash register of a dollar store, watching Holland March fiddle with his wallet with a giant poster board under his armpit, while a pile of markers of all colors and stationery sits on the conveyor belt? Though he supposes that’s another one of life’s great mysteries, and something he’ll wake up every morning asking himself.
