Her seat neighbor’s smile returns then, her eyes brightening. “Yes, I, uh,” she pauses and bites her lip, her smile still breaking through as her blush deepens. She looks down at the space between their seats as she begins to speak, “I’ll give them to you in exchange for your number.”
The eye contact returns then and Vi feels her face grow red and hot again, it’s probably getting close to the shade of her own hair, but she’s smiling nonetheless. “You got anything to write on?”

Caitlyn and Vi are recent college grads living in New York City in the late nineties, they meet by chance and quickly become enamored with each other. But as their relationship develops, cracks begin to show: neither of them are out to their families and they're both struggling with their identities and their hope that they will get the future that they always dreamed of.
