December 1574: Verin, and an arrival.
December 1574: Liandrin, and an beginning.This is the first story (though perhaps not chronologically) of an AU: some of my WoT most beloveds, but make it waaaay back in the past, and witchy. There is also a hefty side helping of homemade lore, as an extra treat :p
The full concept of both this fic series and the lore around the magic is very much.......me building the road as I walk it?
But there are witches, and power, and women who can wield it. Their world used to be safer, at least in many of these parts. Then again, so much has changed over the last few generations that they feel, sometimes, as though magic might be seeping out of the world all together. And that's to say nothing of how difficult community-building has become, and some new threats about emerge.
