Will swallowed, knowing he’d been caught. He shifted in his seat, feeling the slickness of himself grow sticky and tact against his clothes. “I…I didn’t think you’d notice. Should I leave or—?” He stopped as Hannibal placed an inquisitive finger on his cheek, looking at him carefully.
“I did not say you should go, or that you need to apologize. I asked if there is any way I can help you, whether as your psychiatrist, or as something else?”

Summary
Hannibal takes Will to Minnesota after he eludes custody for the copycat murders, but Will puts the pieces together faster than expected. He confronts Hannibal long before they reach the Hobb’s residence.
Sickness and betrayal have a greater effect on Will than Hannibal expected. He never imagined a future where Will would rather die than face it, and he has a lot to make up for if he wants to remain by his potential mate’s side.

Will looked at Hannibal, savoring the last few seconds of his presence. "I hope you enjoy the rest of your days in here, Dr. Lecter. I'm glad you'll never see the light of day again."
