Perhaps a few awkward first steps between them, considering how little they have talked to each other lately. Not for lack of trying, no, but simply… Charles had been too busy. Erik was presumed dead, and before, he had been ruling a nation. How could they even begin to talk?

I know naivety lies in your nature, however there’s no way you could have possibly considered the fight for mutant rights to be over, especially at the peak moment you left.”
Stranded in the Ancient Egypt, Magneto and Professor X must work together to learn the mystery of why and how they were thrown into this specific time period (and where are the rest of the X-Men?). With their renewed, close proximity it is difficult to ignore their shared past...

This is a fic inspired by both the X-Men animations and the comics.
During my research for this story I found out that 𓄫𓏏𓄣 - the Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics for the term joy/happiness in slow translation mean 'wide heart'. That's what inspired the title :)
