Summary
And perhaps things would have been better if Connor hadn’t worn his shame and regret with a neutral face and a quiet determination to continue onwards with his life. Perhaps Hank and the androids around him had expected him to break down, to grovel for forgiveness. But Connor is prideful, he isn’t certain if this is part of his programming or something he has developed for himself.
He thinks Reed is prideful too.
Connor did not deviate while confronting the deviant leader, he did so afterwards, filled with shame while standing between the cheering crowd of androids. Although he's been able to continue his work at the DPD, his relationships with both his partner and other androids are troubled as a result. During what seems like an easy case, he's sent out with detective Reed and things come to a head.
