Summary

Summary
Arthur Morgan’s always been Dutch’s right hand—loyal, dependable, and willing to follow him to the ends of the earth. But when a drunken night changes everything, Arthur is forced to confront a truth he never thought possible: he’s carrying Dutch’s child.
What starts as a secret wrapped in shame and self-loathing soon unravels into something far more fragile—and dangerous—as sickness, distance, and Dutch’s obsession with escape plans pull them apart.
When tragedy strikes, the grief cuts deep enough to shake Dutch from his dreams of Tahiti, and both men are haunted by the child they never got to raise. But in the quiet hours—between Pinkertons, train jobs, and camp politics—they each begin to dream of him.
A baby who speaks to them from the stars.
A boy who promises, “I’ll find you again.”In a dying world, grief might be the only thing keeping them alive—and hope, the only thing worth holding onto.
(Arthur/Dutch, canon-era divergence, hurt/comfort, grief, found family, spiritual themes)

Summary
Vessel was used to the pain. Used to bending. Used to breaking for a god who only ever demanded more.
But when Sleep goes too far, an ancient presence intervenes — something older than the gods, older than life, older than the very dream that claimed him. It does not ask for worship. It does not demand obedience.
It simply steps in.
☆☆☆
Or, my twist on the Sleep Token lore where Vessel finally gets to be happy ;)
