Summary
America, out of fear that they might be hurt, never told anyone about his children: the United States. Thing is, when America gets sick, someone still has to fill in for him at the conference in DC, and it isn't going to be a human. The Nations get snobbish about that kind of thing. A better idea would be to have Washington District herself go instead. There definitely won't be any backlash from that.

It couldn't be that bad.

Waking up in a place he didn’t recognise with injuries he doesn't recall, Jazz already knew he was in it for the long run. At the very least, he knew these fundamental rules:
He was Jazz, he was an Autobot, and Optimus Prime was his leader.
Now, he just wished he could figure out who Optimus Prime was supposed to be.
Alternatively, Jazz wakes up with no memory of who he is, and decides that instead of coming clean about it, he's going to pretend he didn't have amnesia in the first place. This can only go well.
