Summary
This Kingmaker series revolves around Rio’s POV at different highlights that are canon specific. They are written in first person as Rio's stream of consciousness. During these important points in the series' timeline, he contemplates his present life, his past, and his culture. All the things that made him into the kingpin we meet in Good Girls season 1. The timeline coincides with him meeting the Good Girl crew and how they changed the trajectory of his life. It gives a behind the scenes on the origins and consequences of his attraction to Beth, including how surprising and confounding it is to him. This series also shows how Beth impacts his life, his family, and his business more than what is revealed on the show.

She’s been drowning in misery and self-loathing for a while now when she hears the kitchen door opening, soft footsteps following right after.
Her breath hitches, and she freeze. Immediately knows that it’s him. Ears sharp on the noises coming from the other side. Next, she hears Buddy’s pitter-patter passing by her bedroom towards the kitchen.
