It was over. Arthur was here. The Lamia was slain. Gwen was alright. The knights would be back to normal. It was over.
Able to relax for the first time in days, he let his knees buckle and his back slide down the wall. He hit the ground, and his vision turned to mist.
Merlin didn't make it out of his encounter with the Lamia unscathed, or so Arthur thinks when he slays the beast and finds Merlin slumped against the wall and bleeding. When he learns the true source of Merlin's injuries he is furious. He does his best to push that anger away though, because being there for Merlin matters far more right now.

Summary
Merlin rolled his eyes and rolled onto his back, casting a glance over towards the rest of the camp, before he slowly and as quietly as possible shuffled over with his blanket until his back was pressed up against Arthur.
“Happy now?” Merlin whispered, still facing away from him.
Arthur lifted his cloak and placed it and his arm over Merlin so that he could spoon him from behind with a satisfied hum.
“Now I am,” he said quietly.
