*A Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild AU story in which the Champions never got killed, Link never slept 100 years, Zelda unlocked her powers, and Impa's still old.*
An adventure taking place after the defeat of the Calamity, Hyrule is left in a state of rebuild as the two young heroes of the kingdom-Princess Zelda and Sir Link-face their own fates within to find their own destinies.
As the two journey together and draw closer, eventually becoming best friends, their bond will be tested in a series of challenges physically, mentally, and emotionally.Hyrule is in a state of rebuilding. But so are their lives as well.
Zelda faces worry from within and doubts if she can figure out her duties necessary to become queen, and Link himself faces shadows of the past when he comes face-to-face with his father after many years of being apart.
Just because the Calamity is over, doesn't mean all threats are eliminated. In a chaotic scheme and line of events with Hyrule's sneakiest enemy, and relationships on the verge of either being set in stone or breaking altogether, the time for wisdom has never been more urgent.But Courage, all the while, can never be forgotten.

It was unplanned but welcome. The thorn in his heart had been plucked out. Sharing a tomb with his elder brother was not a fate he'd argue with. His fight was over, his purpose fulfilled. He could rest now.
Rex Lapis wonders if saving the Yaksha was truly the correct action to take.

Summary
Zhongli—a learned gentleman and consultant of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. His aura was nothing short of elegant and mysterious. Although many attempted to guess his background and origins, it was quite clear that only a rare few knew his true identity.
Before Zhongli, he was Rex Lapis, Morax... the Emperor of Stone and the Ruler of Liyue. Throughout his immortal life, he served many roles, fought many battles, and shaped many lands.
Injured and in recovery, Zhongli was brought back to the distant and not-so-distant past. Some of his memories were sweet, like the waters of Qingce; some were bitter as a cup of over-brewed tea; some were, unfortunately, painful... like a sharp icicle pierced through the heart, knowing those close to you shall never accompany you to the journey ahead.
