Summary
After Shikamaru makes a choice that alters the course of events, a different story begins in this dimension.
Determined to help Neji break the Hyūga clan’s cursed seal, Shikamaru throws himself headlong into a task whose true magnitude he does not yet understand. Together, they begin to uncover the hidden history of the clan — a past filled with secrets, old conflicts, and dangerous truths.

Summary
Shikamaru flinched slightly when Orochimaru pressed his cold fingertips to his temples.
He still couldn’t believe he was actually going through with it.
But if it was the only way to save Neji, he had no choice.
In his mind, he went over the hand signs once more—those he had practiced again and again over the past days.
He knew them perfectly.
But still, the fear of making a mistake now was overwhelming.
To help Neji, he had to choose the exact right moment. The perfect words.
What would he need to say to truly change Neji’s fate?
And then, suddenly, he heard Neji’s voice in his mind, calm and clear:
“Every freedom needs some kind of structure to truly feel like freedom. And I found mine in you.”
A warmth spread through Shikamaru’s chest, and all at once, the doubt vanished.
He knew exactly what his message would be.
He opened his eyes and gave Orochimaru a nod.
Orochimaru, unusually solemn, nodded back. Then he pressed his fingers more firmly to Shikamaru’s temples.
“Close your eyes and begin.”
Shikamaru obeyed.
The last thing he saw were Orochimaru’s large, golden, snake-like eyes.
Then he formed the hand signs—and activated the jutsu.Series

“The elders called me today.”
“Yeah? What now?"
Neji, still feeling the lingering burn of the Bird Cage curse the elders activated hours ago, says quietly, “They asked if… if I will be with a child soon.”
“Geez. We haven’t even kissed, and they want to go straight to that.”
Neji exhales softly, fatigue threading through his voice. “Not that we need to kiss to make a baby.”

After the sudden death of the Nara clan head, everything changes too quickly. Shikamaru becomes head before he’s ready. A child—four years old, stubborn, grieving, and far too attached—is placed into his care.
And then comes the law. A marriage. With Neji Hyuga.
Shikamaru tells him early on. “Just… stay out of trouble.”
Neji inclines his head slightly. “I’ll try.”
They live together like that at first—careful, distant—two people sharing a house, raising a child neither of them was prepared for.

“Neji, look! I draw!” Shikatoshi beams, shoving a messy paper between them. “Dis you! An’ Papa! An’ me!”
Shikamaru glances at it. “…Why do I look like that.”
“’Cause you always like dis,” the boy mumbles, puffing his cheeks in a terrible imitation.
