Oberyn Martell wasn’t planning on leaving King’s Landing without getting his revenge. His sister would have her justice, and so would her children. He was already planning to attend the prince’s wedding, but after a letter from the Imp decided to head there earlier as it was suggested that there was “something he should see”. His daughters were sad at his leaving, and Ellaria wondered why even bothered to want to go at all. Daemon just bade him safe travels before running off after Arianne. Doran didn’t really care, and just told him to think with his head and not with his heart.
So off Oberyn went, to a place he hated full of people he hated, to see what possibly that “something” could be.
