Summary
**CHAPTER 5 WEIRD ROUTE SPOILERS AHEAD**
Susie was the one who found them. Kris had been holding Noelle’s chin up, out of the water, and Susie would always swear Noelle was still alive for a heartbeat after bringing the duo ashore. A heartbeat, however, is only that. Days later, an investigative team arrive at Hometown and rub salt in the wound, claiming that all signs point to Kris being the perpetrator of this murder-suicide.
Although the lie was at first met with disbelief, it gradually began to infect the thoughts of Hometown’s residents like a plague. Susie can’t bring either of her companions back, but she can at least wipe the dust from Kris’ name, can’t she?

The plot of Deltarune mainly focusing on the emotions, angst, and trauma that drive Kris and Susie's relationship.
**It'll go slightly off plot just to make mine make more sense. I'd say this fic follows a more slow burn-ish feel although I've never written it before. I'm not really sure how to summarize this fic either but it's going to be very angsty and whumperful (like basically everything I write). I'll probably change the summary at some point. Also don't worry it's not just about Kris and Susie either Ralsei is also a big player here.
This was a long term project I've rewritten like a billion times because it never felt right and I might just write the scenes I want in individual fics and go from there maybe
