Summary
What does it mean to be a good man? Arthur pondered that regularly. Was it bravery? Compassion? A respect for your fellow man? Loyalty? He once thought that was a quality of a good man, an important one. Loyalty. He’s come to realize that loyalty means nothing if you’re loyal to the wrong person.
Arthur is kidnapped by the O'Driscolls, and as the days pass him by, he comes to realize Dutch isn't coming for him. Instead, he finds himself being saved by Charles Smith. In more ways than one.

While the family struggles to keep up the ranch in John's absence, Arthur gets to know Charles Smith through a mutual friend. They grow close quickly, beginning a journey of trust, healing, and ultimately, forgiveness.
John returns to a different world than the one he left, and it's up to him and Arthur to bring the Van der Linde gang back together again.
