Summary
It’s 2040, and Alex Claremont-Diaz and Henry Hanover-Stuart Fox haven’t spoken in over twenty years—which everyone involved agrees was probably unnecessary.
Henry is now a retired military veteran and literature professor in London, raising his daughter with quiet competence and emotional repression refined to an art form. Alex, meanwhile, is a terrifyingly successful New York lawyer, single father, and workaholic who treats feelings like hostile cross-examinations.
Unfortunately for them, their daughters become friends. Very close friends.
Soon Alex and Henry are dragged unwillingly back into each other’s orbit through awkward reunions, unresolved history, sharp banter, and a growing suspicion that neither of them moved on nearly as well as they claimed.
Which would all be far less complicated if fate—and two suspiciously determined pre-teens—would stop interfering.

Summary
Whilst on secondment in London, Alex joins The Fox Den, a boxing gym that just so happens to be run by none other than Henry Fox. In between learning how to jab, uppercut and throw a right hook, his desire for Henry simmers beneath the surface until quite suddenly he finds himself on the receiving end of a one-on-one below the belt masterclass from the instructor himself. Enter: a friends-with-benefits agreement and defilement of every corner of the gym. Feelings are out of the question … until they’re not.

Summary
Nora is looking at him in that way that spells absolute trouble. He gives Pez a cursory glance, finding a smile so wide it threatens to split his face. June has her eyebrows high on her face and Bea is covering her mouth but the twinkle in her eyes says she’s fighting a laugh.
“What?” he asks, meeting Nora’s eyes again.
“Nothing, nothing. Just fascinated by your choice of chair,” she points out lightly.
Henry glances down and reality smacks him so thoroughly, he almost physically jumps off Alex’s lap. He barely twitches though, the arm around his waist keeping him anchored.

The first time he does it, he’s drunk and jealous. The second time, they’re both sober but it’s an emergency! The third time… Well… maybe it sort of becomes a thing. Alex doesn’t exactly mind. (aka the Lap Sitting Fic)

Henry glances up when his shadow seems to cover his book, frowning. “Alex?”
“I need you to pretend to be my husband.”
“Excuse me?”
“I fucked up and now I’m going to look like a fucking psychopath if you don’t walk back with me to that booth covered in flowers and tell the very nice lady that we are on our honeymoon.”
Alex loves free shit. These are the lengths he's willing to go to in order to get them.
