If Buck could go back to all those weeks ago and tell himself that this idea would place at the top of the list of his monumentally stupid ideas, he would do it in a heartbeat. He would knock some sense into his own head, or let Maddie do it for him.
But here he is now, and a time machine, unfortunately, hasn’t been invented yet.
Here he is now, with Eddie boring into his eyes after that. After realizing he’s been caught red-handed. Except, the implication Eddie’s just made means he’s been sitting on this. And, holy hell.
Eddie breathes out, his chest puffing out noticeably.
“Not so quick to answer when the tables are turned, are you?”

Summary
She coos but immediately stops once she’s close enough to hug Buck.
“Uh, Hen?” Buck calls confusedly as he watches the alpha sniff around with a constipated look on her face. “What? Do I smell bad?” He chuckles.
“No, no it’s not that.” Hen frowns, sniffing around again before her eyebrows fly to her hairline. It would be comical if Buck isn’t feeling self-conscious all of a sudden.
Buck stays with Eddie while he recovers and when he goes back to work, he reeks of Eddie's scent.

Buck was fully aware he was being a selfish, territorial lunatic, but as he reached out to grip the lapels of Eddie’s jacket, his Omega instincts took complete control.
He smoothed his hands down Eddie's chest, deliberately dragging his inner wrists—right over his active scent glands—hard against the fabric of the collar. He patted Eddie's shoulders, lingering almost a little too long, making sure a thick, heavy layer of his own sweet, orange blossoms Omega pheromones was thoroughly baked into the threads.
My territory, his brain whispered, a toxic wave of possessive satisfaction washing over him. My Alpha. Good luck getting anyone else near you when you reek of me.
“There,” Buck breathed, his voice a little raspy as he finally stepped back, plastering that tight, ‘supportive best friend’ smile back onto his face. “Perfect. Go get 'em, tiger.”
Eddie dives into the dating pool again. Buck reacts very normally to this.
