    Things were simple as Fox saw them now that the Coruscant Guard was kicked out to make room for natborns that were less painful for the frankly clone-phobic populace to see:
    1 - No one wanted the Guard to join the 501st.
    2 - No one wanted the ex-Coruscant Guard anywhere actually
    3 - The feeling was mutual.

    Unfortunately, orders were orders, and it was General Skywalker who had the dubious honour of taking them in to make them "decent, integrated clones," or some shit like that. Until they all die killed by droids, that is.

    And again, he had only accepted on insistence – read "quasi-harassment" – of Senator Amidala.

    What a wonderful direction their life was taking...

    Fortunately, he still had his brothers.

    A sharp crack of binding magic snapped around his wrists before he could fully turn. Gold flared in his eyes on instinct, magic rising like breath in his lungs, but the second spell slammed into his chest a heartbeat later.

    Merlin staggered back a step.

    Cold iron chains wrapped around his arms and dragged tight with unnatural force.

    “Ah,” Merlin breathed.

    He straightened slowly, testing the pull of the restraints.

    “Right,” he added under his breath. “One of those days.”
