The stranger seems to agree, given that they roll their eyes at the journalist. “Who else could have told you to meet here?”
Castorice remains silent, eyeing them. They're still covered by their black cloak, and hiding behind an accompanying mask.
“Hey! Earth to Journalist Homebody…!” Thief Star suddenly exclaims, waving their hands in front of Castorice’s face. “If you don't start driving right now, we're both going to get arrested!”

The black of his ethereal cape flutters. Flins kneels before Illuga with a dark flourish, taking Illuga's hand into his long, elegant fingers. The demon lowers his head, pressing a cool kiss to the crest of Illuga's knuckles.
"There is no other soul that has so bewitched me. Nothing else has possessed me so fiercely with desire. In all of my lifetimes, within all the planes of existence and time immemorial—there is nothing I have wanted more than I want you, Master Illuga."
Illuga's late father leaves behind disgruntled creditors who are hounding Illuga for money he doesn't have. A mysterious tome teaches him how to draw a summoning circle, and in a moment of desperation, Illuga is forced to use it.

Also, his tolerance. Whenever I visit him— which I do quite often, he offers me a bucket or two of water while he insists on sipping his fire water. Surely after some time, that has to be deadly? I don't think I've seen him eat much, either. He brings and offers to cook dinner for the both of us sometimes, but he insists that I eat it all. No matter how much I try to force the issue, he doesn't budge.
I tried asking my pops but he brushed it off quickly, but I could tell he was hiding something. Again, I’m not accusing my friend of anything egregious of any sorts. I’d just like to know what kind of entity I’m potentially dealing with.

In Illuga’s defence, if we speak about the semantics, he didn’t technically plan to sleep with the hot stranger from the bar last night. Just as he didn’t technically plan for that same stranger to stroll into his new job with a condescending smile, a penchant for false niceties and a badge reading— Supervising Director, Yours Truly, Illuga’s fucking downfall (creative liberties taken for story telling purposes)— but here we are.
Hindsight’s a bitch. The top dog at the company was topping him last night. Ha. Ha. Ha. Infeffa would find it funny, if he survived long enough to tell her the tale that is.

The disciple hopefuls dutifully dig holes in hopes of gaining the attention of the peak lords watching on the far-off hills. From this distance, Binghe could not make much of their faces, but the idea that one or both of his parents were watching right now somehow pushed him to try harder with his hole. At least, that was what he intended to do until a man in yellow robes appeared.
The yellow-robed man was small, definitely being towered by the other peak lords, but Binghe could tell that even when he bowed, the way the peak lords viewed him felt closer, more intimate, than master and disciple. However, it was not his statute that made him stop. No, it was the soft curls lying on the man’s crown, so similar to Binghe’s own. He instinctively touches his own hair and wonders.
Or: A story in which Luo Binghe painfully misinterprets that his real father is Shang Qinghua without actual solid confirmation.

He's never seen one without the other; both walking with matching braces, the bigger man always looking at everyone suspiciously even though he greets people politely, and the smaller man, who hides himself under long sleeves and hood, pressed into the side of his partner, and smiles gently at others, though it does not reach his multi-colored eyes.Everyone thinks they're a little odd, but both they and the townsfolk are too kind to ask questions.
He is not.
Jayce and Viktor's presence in this new town does not go unnoticed, but as always, gossip stays gossip, and no one wants to drive away the two men who fix things for low prices and cause no trouble.
Save for one unfortunate individual.
