Summary
Hana sits on the toilet seat, thoroughly reading, more like scanning, the instructions. She tells herself, “I just have to pee on a stick and wait a few minutes. It shouldn’t be that hard, right?” Deep in her gut, Hana knows the plastic stick is only a formality, and it can tell her the truth. It isn’t a mystery or something she can excuse as medication anymore. Whenever this test tells her something she already knows, she also knows her life as a pilot will hit a dead end.
