Summary
Ilya Rozanov has a plan.
He and Shane are stupidly, disgustingly, almost offensively in love. They want a family. They're ready for the next impossible thing.
Just one problem: Shane has two good years left on the ice, and while he wants a baby, he is not ready to be pregnant.
Ilya is.
Ilya is thirty-seven, retired or close enough to taste it, and in possession of what he considers several important advantages: excellent genetics, Olympic hips, and an undeniable talent for getting exactly what he wants. He would thrive being pregnant. Shane would thrive managing the logistics.
Ilya offers to carry.

Summary
The Council of Kings is a right of passage for every alpha or soon-to-be alpha. It encompasses four days of feats of strength, talent, diplomacy, and ends with the Ceremony of Fealty.
Ilya Rozanov is one of those soon-to-be alphas, sent in his father's stead to show the packs collectively that the Rozanovs - known for their violent ways and vast wealth - are still the dominant force in their community.
Shane Hollander, another soon-to-be alpha is also attending the Council in his current alpha's stead, and has just as much to prove. In the shadow of Yuna Hollander - one of the only female alphas in their community's history - Shane is acutely aware that everyone is expecting him to do great things and expand their pack's hold over their land.
Finding their fated mate in another alpha was absolutely not something either wolf expected.
