SPOILER WARNING! This work contains major spoilers for Hollow Knight: Silksong, Animator vs Animation, and the Life Series SMP. Silksong knowledge is highly recommended but technically not required to understand this fic.
A new human has entered the Circus! They actually enjoy the adventures for some reason and- oh, it’s a child, that explains it. But somehow that’s the least peculiar part of the unpredictable new member! Nothing they say or do even lines up with their age! The weirdest part is probably how they’re obsessed with this thing called ‘skong’.
Or; An 11-year-old Silksong fan (aka my self-insert OC) gets put into the Circus and does silly things. This started out as crack but now it’s also kinda slice-of-life and I have absolutely no idea where this is going. Don’t expect anything. Actually I lied, you can expect lots of confusion from everyone (including you) and copious amounts of references to both skong and a certain pesky bird.

Summary
A glitch causes Caine’s audio to be broadcast across the circus while he plans an adventure with Bubble, and the cast gets to hear Caine struggle and laugh with the circus’ stupid spaghetti code, as well as some oddly human moments from Caine as they learn things about him and things that he does that they never knew about.

Do I need a reason? It’s ATUS! Probably THE most influential fanfiction for fan interpretations of Grian’s vague Watcher lore! And it was written half a decade ago with only Evolution and Hermitcraft season 6 to go off of, before the Watcher lore got brought back in the Life Series. I’m also pretty sure that searching up this fic was the first time I ever got on AO3.

The Beast came into the shelter like this: Eight Spindles, late in the evening, hauling a reinforced steel kennel crate half their size out of the back of the shelter's rickety cargo transport.
"We found this one in the residential area out between twelfth pillar and central district," they said, breezily. The kennel's weight tipped the transport at a dangerously steep angle as they unloaded it. "Apparently it killed some kid's pet lizard that got left out on a balcony overnight. Also blew up a capture box, so that's fun."
Or: Artificer's very bad no good accidental time travel incident.

Wait why is this actually so amazing? Artificer time-travels for no reason, causes confusion and turbulance (and some explosions) for a week at the animal shelter, then somehow time-travels back and baffles Five Pebbles.
