Summary
He lifted his gaze, meeting the dark obsidian eye staring back at him. The man before him was striking, handsome in a way that caught Xie Lian off guard. Long inky black hair fell around his face in a slightly messy wolfcut, the uneven layers softening the sharpness of his features. A single red coral pearl earring hung from his right ear, vivid against the dark strands, while a white bandage eyepatch rested over his right eye.
The man flashed a devilish grin, catching Xie Lian completely off guard. His gaze lingered before he could stop it, tracing over the sharp lines of the man’s face, the flash of perfect teeth behind that grin, and the sliver of bare skin visible where his shirt had fallen open while bent over.
Xie Lian moved to speak, only to realize the steamed bun was still caught between his lips.
OR: Third-year undergraduate student, Xie Lian, expects his first peer tutoring shift for Ancient Literature to be uneventful, until he meets a strangely bold first-year named Hua Cheng on the way to class. Despite having only just met, Hua Cheng speaks to him with the familiarity of someone he's known for years.

Summary
Xie Lian and Hua Cheng have a domestic night together in Puqi shrine. Or that's how it started, but then Hua Cheng felt a wave of power course through his veins. He thought that with the mountain being sealed, he would never have to experience this again. But that turned out not to be true, thankfully Xie Lian is there to help him with it.
But even though the night went from perfect, to imperfect, their night was still perfect.

“So have I!” Xie Lian shouts, turning around sharply, and he doesn’t mean to yell, but— “Would you let me say that? If you came home to find me like...like this, San Lang, would it be enough if I told you I’ve made it through worse?”Xie Lian comes home to find his husband bleeding on the floor. He has a lot of questions, most of them about Hua Cheng's willingness to get hurt on his behalf. (And if he harbors similar tendencies, well, that's hardly relevant.) But all of that will have to wait.

Summary
Amidst rumors of strange fires all across Yong'an, Xie Lian travels from one Fire Social to another, selling tea and sweet treats to the celebrating locals. Having led the lonely life of a vagabond for too long, he is ill-equipped to deal with the charming youth who appears at his stall, tells him to call him San Lang and offers to pay handsomely just to listen to Xie Lian's stories.
When the villagers suddenly start accusing Xie Lian of starting the fires, it's up to Hua Cheng to whisk him away to Ghost City, where Xie Lian finds himself thoroughly, deliciously, pleasurably ruined.
