Ed couldn’t help but grabbing him by the shirt, pulling him down for a hard, fierce kiss.
“What was that for?” Izzy asks, mouth still only an inch from Ed’s.
“Can’t I kiss my husband if I want to?” Ed bites, not gently, at Izzy’s bottom lip, wondering briefly if he can drag him into the bedroom, but Izzy pulls up and away.
“Sure,” he agrees easily, and steps back so that Ed’s hand falls uselessly down to the table. “But you don’t normally want to.”

Oluwande looked up from his phone and squinted at Jim, who lay sprawled across the other end of the sofa, legs taking up the space between them. “… you feelin’ alright there? Could’ve sworn I heard you say we should go on a date.”
Jim scowled and kicked lightly at his side, the scowl only deepening when Oluwande caught their ankle in one hand. “I’m serious.”
After 8 months of dating, Jim and Oluwande go on their first date. They wanted someplace easy, affordable, and most of all – low key. Which absolutely did not fucking explain why they ended up agreeing to go to Blackbeard’s Bar and Grill (and Gift Shop) - the restaurant they both worked at - for their first fucking date.

Summary
“It smells kind of like you,” Nandor says. Calmly, casually, practically a shrug, like that isn’t the most vulnerable and intimate thing Guillermo has heard in days--weeks--years.
And then, to his absolute horror, Guillermo feels the traitorous pricking of tears at the corners of his eyes. Nandor has leaned away, but he’s still closer than he was before, fanning the surface of Guillermo’s skin with his gentle breath.
Guillermo will not cry. He will not cry.
He can laugh about this. He’s not entirely human--he’s allowed to laugh at this.

It would be so much easier if there was something tangible to rage against. If Jaskier’s predicament had been caused by an attack, there would have been such vindictive joy in rendering the perpetrators properly repentant. Or even if his lingering disabilities were the fault of insufficient aid rendered carelessly or too slowly, Geralt could have berated those at fault and in so doing soothed his own soul. But there was no one to blame.
