Summary
In the aftermath of the Battle for Earth, Garrus and Shepard are separated: one stranded on a planet with the other survivors of the Normandy and the other struggling for life in the wreckage of the Citadel. Without their partner, they each learn that Shepard is - or at least was - pregnant: Shepard during the medical interventions that saved her life and Garrus when his rampant paternal hormones lead him at odds with his fellow crew. Both try to survive, despite the odds being very much stacked against them.

Holding this fic near and dear to my heart. Will continue to reread. Love the Miranda and Shepard friendship. When Miranda wiped Shep's face with her spit haha; one of the sweetest platonic gestures I've ever read.
The part of this fic that makes my heart sing is Shepard's moments with her baby. -
