Not the scope — though the scope is extraordinary, a history that runs from the birth of a god-machine to the moment one man decides he will not be the instrument of the world's destruction, and encompasses every form of human folly in between. Not the politics, though the geopolitics of the world of Fei and his companions.

A revised version of my originally titled Xenogears Fanfiction 'Corrupted'.
She feels another change, this time in herself. Something- no, SOMEONE is stirring within her.
She knows this person, too. Their personality is cold and callous, the same as that of the malevolent creature, and yet the person is a distinct being with a separate sentience. Their feminine, monotone voice speaks crystal clear into her mind;
