Summary
Shane has married Ilya, a known chaos monster, with a penchant for fast cars and designer clothes.
Shane has spent his life making sure he was financially responsible. Now it's time to combine their assets and different approaches to money management.
They had been married for 42 days. They did the financial disclosure. Now it was time to draft the documents... or maybe not.
Shane had found a financial planner. Had set the appointment. More appointments were set. They were necessary.
He prepared another binder. More cover notes. A cover note for the cover note. He'd covered everything. After all, he was Shane Hollander; what could he have possibly missed?
Ilya, meanwhile, had approached today's meeting with the same organizational energy he brought to most things in his life, except hockey: confident, yet chaotic, and generally not stressed out about whether things would work out in his favor. This time there's actual emails and attachments. And voice notes. Just a couple. He promises.

Summary
Going into a pre-playoff run against the Montreal Metros, Ilya is supposed to upload promotional content for the Centaurs to his Instagram, and it goes spectacularly wrong.
There's humor and there's heart. There's momager Yuna and my favorite versions of Ilya and Shane.

Summary
Shane has married Ilya, a known chaos monster, with a penchant for fast cars and designer clothes. Shane has spent his life making sure he was financially responsible. Now it's time to merge these two different approaches to money management; It does not go the way Shane thinks it will.
They had been married for 32 days.
And now was the big conversation: estate planning, their assets, and what combining them would look like.
Shane had found a financial planner. Had set the appointment.
He was, after all, Shane Hollander; he had approached his financial future with all of the key characteristics of a Hollander. His mom had guided his career, negotiating sizable contracts for him, and his father worked for the Treasury. It was in his blood.
Ilya, meanwhile, had approached today's meeting with the same organizational energy he brought to most things in his life, except hockey: confident, yet chaotic, and generally not stressed out about whether things would work out in his favor.

He doesn’t remember swerving to avoid a merging truck.
He also doesn’t remember hitting the tree.

Summary
“We sucked. Okay? I sucked. I’m distracted, and I played like shit, and it won’t happen again. Happy?”
Hayden looks at him like he’s grown a second head. “No? I don’t—Shane, what the hell is going on?”
Shane clenches his jaw.
“Is this about Rozanov?” Hayden asks, face rearranging into something puzzled. “He’s been gone for two weeks now. You can’t let that shit cloud your judgement.”
Chest constricting, Shane exhales sharply. “He’s been gone two weeks, and no one knows where he is.”
OR: right before summer rolls around, Ilya Rozanov disappears.
