His hands reached out, grabbing onto the hot skin of his waist, holding on. The blond looked over his shoulder at Shouta, intense green eyes meeting his own, lips curving upwards.
“Show me how you move.” The man’s voice was smooth and warm, and Shouta wanted to wrap himself up in it. He wasn’t even sure how he’d heard him over the music; but there was no denying his request.
His command.
Shouta began to move.

Shōta raises an eyebrow.
“Hey! These are all great things,” Yamada defends. “Also, abrasive, a little, but—”
Shōta turns away, having had enough of this character assassination from a rising pop star.
“Hey! I love abrasiveness!” Yamada shouts after him.
Shōta pauses and turns around. Yamada grins and shoots him a finger gun. Shōta readjusts his bag on his shoulder and says, “Loud, showy, kitschy, irritating.”
Yamada’s smile doesn’t falter.- - -
After the death of his best friend, Shōta struggles to find a reason to keep going, both in his artistic practice and in his life. On a whim, he takes a job as a concert photographer for Present Mic, and several months of sharing a tour bus with Yamada Hizashi might be the thing to help him recover.

“HELLO PARTY–people?” Hizashi was as loud as ever, bursting into their first hero course teacher meeting of the year, where Shouta’s addition to the staff had just been announced. They locked eyes instantly, and all Shouta could think was, when did he grow that god-awful mustache? When had he grown out his hair? It was long enough that it would have reached his waist if it were down, and that was… not god-awful at all. Seven years had treated him well.
“Eraserhead?” Hizashi broke the silence.
“Mic.” He nodded. And just like that, they were ripped right out of first-name basis and thrown into the soulless pit of hero names. It was for the best. They hadn’t ended things on the best of terms, anyway.

The dragon whines in the back of his throat, mouthing the underside of Wriothesley’s jaw. “You must bind me,” he says. “And then walk—walk—out. Otherwise, my instincts… my desires…” He shudders. “I will want to chase you. Bring you back here.”
When the Lady of Merusea asks Wriothesley to help with the local dragon, he expects the dragon will need a good slaying, not a good breeding.

Neuvillette cleared his throat, his gaze averting. “Ah. My apologies. It was not my intention to worry you. The judge meant to preside over this trial had a shortcoming, and I was the only one available to step in. It couldn’t wait either—again, my apologies.” He awkwardly adjusted his clothes. After a moment of guarded silence, he added, “I had intended to… propose something to you, but I fear it must be postponed, if that is amenable to you.”
Concern slipped away from Wriothesley’s face, replaced by warm curiosity and a sly curve of his lips. He stepped closer, eyes glinting with mischief. “Propose something? What, like a date?”
A faint stammer escaped before Neuvillette could stop himself. “N-Not quite. But something like that, yes.”
Neuvillette prepares a little surprise for Wriothesley but his work gets in the way.

Aizawa Shouta had gone through twenty three years of his life and three short lived and disastrous relationships before he decided that the whole notion of romance was utterly illogical. For most people, they served as an outlet for one’s messier emotions and sexual frustrations, but seeing as Shouta had good friends he knew he could trust with his feelings and was content with taking care of his urges by himself, there was simply no need for him to get involved with women.
That was the other thing. Shouta is the only one of his friends who is straight, despite what his friends may (jokingly) claim.

Hizashi was never one to do anything by halves, so, really, the whole vampire twist on top of everything else kind of made sense, in an oblique sort of way. Truthfully, Shouta didn't pay much attention to that kind of thing, nor did he care. As far as he was concerned, Hizashi was Hizashi: Shouta’s boisterous, sometimes (often) overly-loud whirlwind of a roommate and close friend of over fifteen years.
And possibly also the target of some less-than-strictly-platonic feelings on Shouta’s end, but that was neither here nor there.

Girando ancora sulla sedia, Hizashi tornò dritto davanti al tavolo e tirò fuori alcuni test per fare le prime correzioni prima della pattuglia. Mentre si districava tra genitivi sassoni messi a casaccio e spelling irrealistici, la sua mente continuava a correre ai biglietti. L'idea gli piaceva tantissimo. Come insegnanti, avevano spesso una vita troppo seria, priva di quei momenti di allegria e creatività che invece regalavano il più possibile ai loro studenti. Non vedeva l'ora di mettere le mani su qualche bella cartolina con paesaggi innevati, o un Babbo Natale rubizzo, e scrivere un messaggio ridicolo ma affettuoso per i suoi colleghi. Il pensiero gli portò un sorriso sulle labbra. Sarebbe stato proprio un bel Natale. Non quello dei suoi sogni, ma l'amore poteva prendere tante forme, no?

Aizawa hated it at first. He hated the lights, the noise, the crowds. He hated the rowdy drunk guests that he had to haul off when they got too belligerent. Not to mention the unpredictable shouting from the flamboyant DJ across the room, a sound that got under his skin without fail. Every time the guy opened his big mouth, Aizawa flinched. His earplugs were at least a little effective against the club music, but they were absolutely useless against the DJ's voice.
God. You'd think he'd shout himself hoarse eventually (Aizawa kept his fingers crossed), but the man could scream all night.
