They say the Third Shinobi World War ends on the day of the explosion on the Kannabi Bridge in one part of the world, and with the battle between Yellow Lightning and the newly appointed Raikage in another.
That’s not entirely true, but it’s not far from the truth.
The war truly ends on the day the Third Mizukage’s head rolls across the floor, and standing over it is a young man whom no one has ever seen before. On that day, Kirigakure fell as it was known, and all who saw that young man’s face either perished or joined him. The earth soaked up the blood, and the rains washed away the remains when the young man, who did not belong here — who had never been one of those born in these lands — left everyone with a choice: submit or die.

Summary
A tall man crashes into him so suddenly that it knocks the wind out of Madara; strong, unfamiliar arms wrap around him, restraining and embracing him, and Madara realizes that he can’t sense this man’s chakra; at the very beginning, when he first met Hashirama, he noticed that sometimes his chakra could blend with the natural one, but over time, Madara had learned to distinguish one from the other; in this man, however, the chakra felt just like the air around him. Because of this, Madara’s instincts didn’t kick in immediately; he could only feel endlessly agitated and bewildered.
A hot whisper burns his ear as the tall Senju — as tall as all those damned railroad ties — leans toward him:
“Indra…” the unfamiliar name sounds like a spell, like a prayer, like love, light, and peace all in one word; Madara isn’t sure if he’s ever heard one person speak of another like that.

Madara supposes that it could've been worse.
After a few hours of browsing what seemed to be the largest forest he thinks he's ever explored, only seeing nothing but the vibrant green leaves that looked more yellowish, an effect from the warm glow casted by the rays of sunlight, rustling as the wind picks up every now and then, some of the pesky leaves raining down from above, getting stuck in his hair (much to his displeasure), as well as the trunks of tall, reddish-brown mahogany trees looming over him, only slightly intimidating Madara.
He's finally seeing the fruits of his (unwanted) labour, the progress of his nonstop walking— trekking against his will, by the way— with a distinguishable pathway making itself known to Madara, much to his relief.
