Mira tuts a little when Rumi falls silent with a little whine. Words are failing her right when she needs them the most. “Can I? Can I what? Come on, Ru, you know you have to ask for it. I can’t help you, otherwise. I don’t know what you need.”
Which is patently false. Mira knows exactly what Rumi needs. Her eyes gleam with promise, with encouragement. She just wants Rumi to say it.
It’s never been easy for Rumi to verbalize her needs; she’s never been comfortable putting her wanting to words. But it’s also never been easier than it is now, with Mira’s gaze on her, gentle and patient, for her to whisper, “I need you to choose. Please?”

“So polite too, you’re being my good girl aren’t you Rumi?”
Rumi nodded.
“Use your words pet.” Rumi’s eyes fluttered closed in bliss as Mira's thumb caressed her jaw.
“Yes Ma’am.”
“Yes, Ma’am what?” Mira tilted her head expectantly.
“Yes, I’m…I’m being your good girl, Ma’am.” Rumi felt herself flush again. It was hard enough for her to hear compliments, but to actually say them always made her feel awkward and embarrassed.
She was getting better at it though. Even if it was only to please her girls. To show them just how good, how obedient, how well trained she could be.

Zoey and Mira help Rumi work through some deep seated trauma by being kinky af.

“Rumi?” Mira questioned uncertainly. The demons had frozen as well, staring at Rumi as she stared back. The tense silence stretched. The hallway felt like the oxygen had been sucked out and the dim lighting cast shadows all around.
“Rumi, there’s no such thing as half demons. We would know. Celine would have told us. It has to be a trick….” Zoey said but it was clear she still had her own reservations.
And what could Rumi say to that? Celine had said she could find no records of any other half demons, not anywhere in the archive. How could hunters have never encountered a single half demon in the nearly 800 years since the honmoon was created? What were the chances they would meet them now, in this generation, when Rumi herself was one? It felt like a trap. It had to be a trap.
But…
“Rumi?”
“She’s bleeding.” She said softly. “Demons don’t bleed.”
