"Stupid human," Adrian hisses. "You would give up your chance for him just like that?"
"Yes," Grace says hoarsely.
"Anything for him."

Steven was assessing him. Marc was breathing heavy, eyes dark, but there was an aura of wariness to him. Glimpses of apprehension still swam in his eyes as he glanced at the dildo like he couldn’t look away, like he wanted it, or at least wanted the idea of it, but couldn’t help but be afraid.
Steven softened and spoke softly. “How about, for now, you sit right there and watch, Marc.”
